      Day 2 – Ranikhet Local – Kausani ( Approx 75 kms ) ( 2 hours )

Jhula Devi Temple : Jhula Devi temple is situated at a distance of 7 kilometres (4 mi) from the town of Ranikhet near Chaubatia. It is said that the dense jungle near the temple was once full of wild animals, leopards and tigers used to attack local villagers. The villagers prayed to Maa Durga for protection, and one day Goddess Durga came in a shephard's dream and advised him to excavate her idol. This temple was constructed at the spot where the shepherd found Goddess Durga's idol. Since then pilgrims come to make a wish to Goddess Jhula Devi. And when their wish is fulfilled they come again to thank Jhula Devi Maa by offering a bell to the temple. The popularity of the temple can be realized by number of bells hanging over the temple walls. The temple priests have to timely shift the old bells to a different place to make room for the new bells that are tied everyday. In addition to bells, dried coconut and prasad is offered to the Goddess. This place has a calm environment and a sense of spiritual peace to it. Chaubatia Garden ( Apple Orchards ): Located about 10 kilometres (6 mi) from Ranikhet, this place has plantation of apricots, peaches, chestnuts, and almonds and is famous for apple orchards. With a wide variety of Himalayan flora, it also offers the picturesque views of snowcapped Himalayas. Apart from fruits, one can buy fresh juices and artisan honey from the garden store on the way out. Upat Golf Course ( one of Asia’s highest golf course ) : Ranikhet Golf Course is one of the highest golf courses of Asia, located 5 kilometres (3 mi) from main Ranikhet City. Ranikhet Golf Course is a 9-hole course making it one of the prime attractions of Ranikhet. The green meadow of the golf course at such high altitude is awe-inspiring. The golf club provides membership plans for outsiders as well.      


      Day 3 – Kausani Local Sight Seeing

Kausani Tea Estate : Kausani Tea Estate is located at a distance of 5 km from the main town. Most important industry nearby Kausani, it is spread over an area of 208 hectares in 21 divisions. Giria's Uttaranchal Tea is produced from this plantation. Anasakt Ashram : Anashakti Ashram was blessed with the stay of Mahatma Gandhi. During his stay in the ashram, The Father of the Nation penned the commentary on Anashkti Yog, called ‘Geeta-Anashakti-Yog’. Popularly known as Gandhi Ashram, it has now been converted into a study-cum-research centre. Someshwar : Someshwar is home to a temple, which has Lord Shiva as its chief deity. Constructed by the founder of the Chand Dynasty, the town offers views of the beautiful Someshwar Valley. Founded by Raja Som Chand, the town has become a popular attraction near the town, owing to the religious significance associated with its temple. The temple has been named by combining the Raja Som Chand's and Maheshwar's name. Planet’s Snow : Planets Show provides tourists with a view of the stars apart from the clouds and mist. A planetarium-cum-internet cafe, it is run by an astronomy enthusiast in Kausani. When clear night sky is available, stargazing is an option for the tourists. For stargazing, the planetarium is outfitted with varieties of telescope. Every evening, the enthusiast enlightens the tourists about the planets. In this show, the astronomers explain the theoretical developments and the fundamentals of astronomy to the visitors. Tourists can visit the planetarium any time from the morning till 11 pm daily. Rudrahari Mahadev Temple : Rudrahari Mahadev Temple is an ancient cave temple that is located along the banks of River Kosi. Situated at a distance of 8 km west of the town, the temple is believed to have been constructed at the place where an ancient Indian mystic named Rishi Kaushik meditated for a long period.      


      Day 4 – Kausani – Baijnath – Bageshwar – Patal Bhuvaneswar ( Approx 150 kms ) ( 6 hours )

Baijnath : There is a famous Baijnath Mandir (Lord Shiva) on the bank of the river which is said to have been built by the Kumaon Katyuri king in around 1150 A.D. and it was Capital of the Katyuri dynasty of kings who ruled Uttaranchal during 12th and 13th century, Patal Bhuvaneswar : This mystical cave is 160 m long and 90 ft deep where limestone rock formations have created various impressive stalagmite figures.Almost every god that you would have heard of resides in this mystifying cave. It is also believed that you can worship at Patal Bhuvaneswar is equivalent to worshipping at Char Dham of Uttarkhand.      


      Day 5 – Patal Bhuvaneswar – Almora ( Approx 125 kms ) ( 4 hours )

Bright End Corner “Bright End Corner” refers to a vantage point that offers some of the most picturesque views of the sunrise and sunset amidst the mighty Himalayas. The point marks the beginning of the mall road at Almora and is named after Mr. Brighton. It is also known for its various meditational centers and the famous Swami Vivekananda Library. Katarmal Sun Temple Located 16 kilometers away from the town of Almora, the Katarmal Sun Temple is the second most important temple dedicated to the Sun god in India. The temple was constructed by the Medieval Katyuri Kings in the 9th century AD. The temple is known for its unique architecture and various carvings on walls and its ceilings. The temple complex consists of one shrine and is surrounded by 45 smaller shrines which are carved out of stone. Kasar Devi Temple Kansar Devi Temple is believed to date back till the 2nd century AD and is dedicated to Kasar Devi. The temple is located at an average elevation of 2,100 meters above sea level and is popular among most hikers as it offers scenic views of the surroundings. The spot itself is situated amidst thick covers of Pine and deodar forests and that is a home to various species of birds. . Kumaon Regimental Centre Museum Kumaon Regimental Centre Museum is located uphill from the mall road in Almora and was established in 1970’s. The museum is known for various war treasures and weapons recovered during the various wars like World War II and the 1962 war with china. The chief purpose of the museum’s establishment was to pay respect to the brave soldiers and to protect the culture of the Kumaon region.      


      Day 6 – Almora – Nainital ( Approx 60 kms ) ( 2 hours )

1. Nainital Lake Known commonly as the Naini Lake, it is situated in the middle of the town and is the lifeline of Nainital. Boating facilities are available for the visitors and alternatively a slow paced stroll around the lake will offer a serene relaxation like no other. 2. Naina Peak Known as the Cheena or China Peak by the locals, Naina Peak is the highest peak in Nainital. It is situated at an average elevation of 2,615 meters above sea level and is a popular trekking spot in Nainital. The spot is known to offer one of the most amazing panoramic views of the entire valley and Nainital situated near the Naini Lake. 3. Tiffin Top Located at the Aryapatta Hill at an average elevation of 2292 meters above sea level, Tiffin Top is a famous view point that offers some of the most breathtaking views of the Himalayas and Nainital. The place is named after an English painter Dorothy Kellet who used to sit at this very spot and paint. This place is also known as Dorothy’s seat. 4. St. John In The Wilderness St. John in the Wilderness refers to a church which was established in 1844 and is located on the north end of the town. The church was named so after the Bishop of Calcutta was obliged to sleep in an unfinished house in the wilderness after falling ill. The church is located in a hidden and serene located amidst the deodar forests and is built in a Neo- Gothic styled architecture with stained glass windows from Belgium. 5. Pt. G.B. Pant High Altitude Zoo Located at an average elevation of 2,100 meters above sea level, Pt. G.B. Pant High Altitude Zoo was established in 1984 and was opened to general public in 1995. The zoo contains several exotic and endangered species of animals and birds which are native to this region. Snow Leopard, Himalayan Bear, Tibetan wolf etc. are few of the endangered species found here. 6. Gurney House Gurney House refers to a cottage which is famous for being the residence of the British conservationist Jim Corbett. The house was built in 1881 and is located near the Nainital Lake. The materials used in the building were reused components of an older house which was present at this site. The house was sold to Mr. Sharda Prasad Varma in 1947 when the Corbett family left for Kenya. 7. Eco Cave Gardens Eco Cave Gardens are an interconnected network of caves and attract huge crowds of tourists and are a treat for kids upon their visit. The park comprises of seven caves which are reached through a narrow and winding road with amazing views during the commute. This is one of the best places one should visit with the family and is of special interest to kids with the musical fountain that is located here. 8. Snow View One of the best viewpoints in Nainital, the Snow View is located at an average elevation of 2,270 above sea level is reachable by a cable car. It provides amazing and picturesque views of the snow capped Himalayas with the major peaks like Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot and Trishul. The stay is chargeable for each hour that you spend at the spot and can be visited between 10 am to 5 pm. 9. LAND’S END Famous for being a spot that is usually reached by trekkers, Land’s End is a picturesque location and the amazing views from this spot are like none other. The spot is located at an average elevation of 2,118 kilometers above sea level provides views of the surrounding hills and is surrounded by some beautiful trees and pine forests.      


      Day 7 – Nainital – Corbett ( Approx 100 kms ) ( 3 hours )

Corbett Jungle Museum : Corbett Museum is the place where Jim Corbett stayedduring winters and the museum has his books. The museum also offers his personal items like gun , fishing net , cap, bags and some of his photographs with tigers. Garjia Temple : Garjia Maa Temple is situated in the mid of Kosi river near Ramnagar. The temple holds great importance amongst the locals.Almost every couple who visits Corbett National Park or Ramnagar visits this temple of Garjia Maa to take their blessings. Sitabani Temple : About 20 kms from Ramnagar is a place called Sita Bani. Legend has it that Devi Sita, the consort of Lord Rama had entered into the lap of Mother Earth here. A fair is held here during Ram Navmi.      


      Day 8 : Corbett – Hardwar ( Approx 200 kms ) ( 5 hours ) Return Home with Wonderful Memories
